AIM for Change:
Awakening Inner Motivation

Motivational interviewing is generally recognized as a practical, common sense behavior change counseling method—however—becoming proficient in this method is an on-going learning process requiring significant practice, self-study, feedback, and supervision.

Steve is available to provide individuals and clinical groups mentoring in MI to support the development of practice behavior. Using the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity coding tool (MITI) as a means of assessing clinical skillfulness, Steve reviews audio taped clinical sessions submitted by the practitioner, followed by the sharing of structured, individualized feedback. Mentoring sessions are available either in-person or via the telephone.

Mentor: 1) a friend of Odysseus entrusted with the education of Odysseus' son Telemachus; 2a): a trusted counselor or guide; 2b): tutor , coach; 2c): a champion, ally

Those who seek mentoring, will rule the the great expanse under heaven.

Those who boast what they are greater than others, will fall short.

Those who are willing to learn from others, become greater.

Those who are ego-involved will be humbled and made small.
